The Elms has a stunning building and beautiful surroundings, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by inconsistent service and a lack of attention to detail. While the food was generally good, the service during our visit was incredibly frustrating, and the room we initially received was not up to par. If improvements were made, it could really shine as a luxury destination.

Rooms
5.0
The first room we were shown was in poor condition with peeling paint and an overall unkempt feel. However, the second room in the coach houses was better but still lacked the charm and quality I remembered.
Service
5.0
The service was disappointing overall. We encountered rude staff and lengthy waits for basic requests, which detracted from the experience significantly.
Location

Set in a beautiful area, The Elms is lovely for a getaway, but the facilities did not live up to the expectations based on previous visits.
Dining
6.0
The meals were tasty, but lacked the refined touches that made my previous dining experiences special. The service during dinner felt rushed and impersonal.
Facilities

The spa facilities were limited and did not provide the relaxation atmosphere I anticipated. Additionally, the pool was crowded and noisy.

The Elms is a great family-friendly hotel set in the beautiful rolling hills of north Worcestershire. The staff is exceptional, especially when it comes to accommodating kids, and the outdoor areas are perfect for little ones. However, the dining experience fell short of previous visits, feeling more like a bistro than the fine dining we once enjoyed, and there were some service inconsistencies that need addressing.

Rooms
9.0
The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely garden view. The bed was so cozy that my wife is now considering buying one just like it.
Service
8.0
The staff worked hard to offer great service, and Sam, the manager, went above and beyond to help us. However, I noticed one staff member was a bit less approachable than the others.
Location
9.0
The hotel is nestled in a beautiful area, surrounded by lovely gardens and rolling hills, making it a picturesque getaway.
Dining
6.0
While the food for kids was fantastic, our adult meal this time didn’t match the fine dining experience we remembered. The menu felt limited and the price seemed high for what was offered.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were suitable for families, with a good-sized pool and clean outdoor spaces. The children's trampoline was a fantastic addition.

I was really looking forward to a relaxing spa day, but my experience was unfortunately marred by chaos from children everywhere, which took away from the tranquility I expected. While the hotel itself had some lovely features and the treatments were decent, the spa area was quite crowded and the noise level made it hard to relax. Overall, I felt a bit duped as the environment was far from what I anticipated. If you’re seeking a quiet retreat, this may not be the best choice during family swim lesson days.

Rooms

Unfortunately, the location was compromised by the family activities happening at the pool and spa area, which really set the tone for our visit.
Dining

The dining experience was decent, but it was hard to enjoy our meals due to the surrounding chaos from children.

I had an excellent family stay at this hotel, which really caters well to young children with its thoughtful amenities and facilities. The room was perfect for us, and we appreciated the quality of the food, although the service was a bit hit and miss. The gardens were lovely, but the children's play area could use some attention. Overall, it's a fantastic choice for families.

Rooms

The room was perfect for our family, designed with young children in mind. It included baby amenities and was clean and spacious.

Service varied; sometimes attentive and quick, other times a bit slow and disorganized. It could use more consistency.
Location

The hotel is in a lovely area with great gardens and convenient access to dining facilities.
Dining

Breakfasts were of high quality, and evening meals were generally good, though occasionally inconsistent with menu descriptions.

While the creche team was excellent, the children's play area felt a bit neglected. The spa facilities were enjoyable.

We had a wonderful time at this family-friendly hotel, with a great atmosphere and plenty of things for the kids to do. The facilities were perfect for families, and we particularly loved the spa area. The only downside was a few hiccups with our spa treatments, but overall it was a relaxing getaway. The location was peaceful, surrounded by beautiful gardens, making it an ideal retreat.
